Grottos Trail is a 1.6 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Baraboo, Wisconsin that features a great forest setting and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and trail running and is best used from March until September.
An easy, wide path along the bottom of the south end of the East Bluff, connecting the Balanced Rock, Potholes and CCC trails.
Easy trail through the woods that we used to get from the CCC trail to the lake trail then up to the west bluff
Busy trail but very easy.
This was an easy stroll after coming down off the the steeper trails.
The East Bluff trail is obviously more scenic, but the Grottos Trail is a good shaded alternative back to your campsite/car and is much less busy.
