This paved trail closely follows the East River and winds through woodlands, fields, and a few parks along its very scenic route. Wildlife of all sort are regular sights on the trail, including deer, rabbits, herons, hawks, turkeys, and turtles, to name just a few. There are numerous benches, picnic tables, and parks (with restrooms) along the way to stop and take a break. Access is easy with many parking areas and access points. The trail can get busy, but never crowded.

Great trail to ride on. Be careful though, the trail south of Allouez Ave getting progressively more flooded the further south you go. I had to stop turn back after .5-1mile highway 172. Date 8-13-2019

Like this trail but avoid for a few days after a heavy rain. Floods easily!

Parked at Ledgeview Park. Only went a couple miles. And saw three very nice, clean parks. Paved trails. I didnt go the full distance because of time. I did end up accidentally taking Feeder trail at one point coming off a bridge. There was a fork in the road and chose wrong. That’s ok, I know for next time.
