The asphalt trails were falling apart, lots of cracks and holes. More difficult than the west trail, a great one to hit after / before balanced rock.

dog friendly trail, great views! we started at the hardest part, so over half the hike was a breeze. only downside was the crowd. so many people out today! it is a holiday weekend but wow it was so busy!! i would say definitely try to get in early. we started around 1030 and it was already packed!

Beautiful views along the East Bluff Trail. Devil's Doorway was unbelievable! I took East Bluff after the doorway and then East Woods Bluff Trail back. Recommended.

Hiked this trail on a Friday evening. This was a great time to hike the trail as it was a bit cooler and it was less busy than I was expecting. While it does require some effort to deal with the elevation changes, the views and overlooks from the East Bluff down into the lake are outstanding. Some outstanding rock formations. Looped back to the parking lot using the East Bluff Woods Trail. Simply awesome experience!

Excellent trail that goes up and along the lake. We took 6 kids with us, the youngest was 7. She did just fine. We did lose the trail a little bit in a couple spots, but it was easy to get back on. I believe it took us around 45 minutes to an hour to complete this part of the trail.

Beautiful hike, quite a workout, but SO FREAKING BUSY. I went on a Tuesday hoping it wouldn't be too bad, but I couldn't stop to linger and enjoy the views because there was a crowd of people at every lookout. If you don't mind being in a parade, then go ahead and hike this trail, but if you're like me and prefer a more peaceful experience, beware.

East bluff trail was great, awesome sights. Forest trail was pretty standard through the woods gradual change in vertical. Pretty easy hike altogether though. Good amount of other people on East Bluff trail, none on forest trail. If you going to Devil’s lake make sure to also check out balanced rock and devils gate while you are there, those were awesome.

Amazing trail! the views were beautiful and well worth the hike. Best place I've seen so far in WI. Definitely hike! also recommend going up East Bluff and down East Bluff Woods. The gradual downhill is easier on the knees. Also the way recommended by staff

Both bluff trail and woods trail are beautiful! The woods side is easier, but only if you are returning on that side. Lovely views and fascinating rocks. We were there early in the morning and had little traffic, but it was rather humid.

Trail is pretty heavily trafficked, but you’ll get your sweat on. The views are nice and the rock formations are incredible (keep in mind those are some of the oldest rock outcroppings in North America.. 1.6 BILLION years old!.. pretty awe inspiring..)

Beautiful views all the way up to the top. Narrow at times, so keep close eye on children and pets.

Nice scenic trail by Devil’s Lake. Plenty of maps and arrows throughout to guide you.

Gorgeous hike up to a bluff overview of Devil’s lake when you start up East Bluff Trail and work counter clockwise on the loop trail. East Bluff is much more strenuous and rocky than East Woods Trail, and East Woods makes for a nice cool-down on the way back down to the parking lot.

It’s a little more difficult than most “easy” hikes, but the views are worth it and it’s doable for most people.

Had fun on this hike. It was challenging at some points. A lot of elevation changes at the first part. Be careful of slippery rocks on decents. Very nice fews off of the bluffs overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains.

inaccurate title so giving it 3 star. Map depicts a loop combining *part* of east bluff trail and east bluff WOODS trail. check park map carefully. Be prepared, this area has paved areas and strenuous rock stair ascents.

Take it easy going up if you arent used to walking up hills. The grade is gradual. The scenery is well worth it! If you go all the way around it does get rocky and close to the edge at some areas
