Super nice trail, good views but the last stretch after you pass the ski hill is super super muddy so be prepared for that.

Probably would've rated higher were it not for the swarms or skeeter and flies and much of the trail a muddy mess from last nights rain. Maybe in the fall. Not another should crazy enough to be out there in this heat.

Decent trail. Definitely NOT moderate, very simple. Lots of swampy areas, be prepared to clean your bike afterwards.

Would not recommend going the whole loop after a heavy rainfall. By the River is completely flooded. Also hard to follow trail towards the beginning because of all the mountain bike paths. Don’t get discouraged by the paths. Still a fun easy trail

I found this trail on the app and took my dog for what I thought would be a slightly strenuous morning hike. This is more of a nature walk than a hike, very easy with clearly defined paths which get narrow at some points, particularly at the north end, as it is mainly a mountain biking trail. The bugs were intense despite being sprayed and covered. Also very poor trail etiquette from others, a couple of ladies had very poorly socialized dogs they could barely control. It was pretty, but I wouldn't return, mainly due to the bugs and the people.

Great trail, a little muddy at spots. The trails can be a lil narrow at spots too which made it feel less travelled. Lots of interesting insects and slugs.

It gets you close to the river if you want and it does allow you to be in the woods, to get away from the city. Muddy when it rains, and a little after, but if you’re prepared, it’s nice.

This is designed for mountain bikes, but I didn’t see any. A bit muddy in spots, but nothing that’s too difficult to get around. This trail is pretty awesome and really quiet and peaceful. Lots to look at and overall very good.

This looks like an absolutely beautiful trail, but I had to turn around a few times because it was so muddy.

This trail is unmarked, and because of this we found ourselves walking off trail and on the side of the road. The part of the trail that is wooded is nice and open, but this area is shared with a lot of mountain bikers. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Love this hike. The side behind the tubing hill is less trafficked and a beautiful scenic route.

Nicely maintained hiking/mountain biking trails. Lots of side trails and opportunities for close encounters with nature. Don't miss the awesome tree fort towards the end of the hike.

We entered from Root River Parkway. Not from where the gps map starts this trail. Many people were walking the wrong way... just remember that this is a mountain biking trail too: bikes are supposed to go in one direction & hikers/walkers move the opposite direction. Inside the trails it’s easy to get lost there are no trail markers. Keeping this app open recording my hike on the map is how we found our way. Parts of the trails were muddy so hiking shoes are recommended. We also took a walk around the ski hills. In the summer when this covid-19 is over the umbrella bar is an outdoor bar to stop by for refreshments:-D

Beautiful trail! Very muddy at parts, but with appropriate shoes it was okay! Will definitely be back!
