No directions whatsoever. Tons of bugs. You need to be very adventurous to try this trail. You w eventually to a beautiful vista overlooking Lake Michigan. But there are probably other ways to get that view.

Great trail for those who don’t mind getting a little lost. But bring BUG SPRAY! Omg... the amount of mosquito bites I have are endless! It’s a little muddy so I recommend a pair of boots or hiking sandals. If you wear shoes- make sure you don’t love them being squeaky clean.

Muddy and a heck of a hike since we went the wrong way lol. Make sure to go left when you start out, and be prepared for steep inclines and drops, and some confusing other trails among the way. Otherwise - TOTALLY WORTH IT!

Very poorly marked. While it was nice to be in the woods, and only 40 minutes from Milwaukee, the trail was a real disappointment. Things could significantly improved with better trail markings.

This trail is poorly marked and confusing. Lots of mud and I would suggest bringing bug spray. The view was pretty but I would not come here again.

Poorly marked. Still a little muddy, but not terrible. Best way I’ve found to navigate through the park so far is with a compass.

I would not recommend right now. We are completely covered in mud!

I did this trail last week. I was able to find access to the trail from behind (far right (east I believe) corner of the campground, end of the road by picnic area 2 and behind the playground by picnic area 3. Trail is not marked at all and as far as I could tell was 3 interconnected loops. Was very wet and muddy and check for ticks when done. I had a hitchhiker on me when done

Very hard to find trail and stay on it. Best way in is thru picnic area 3 behind the playground. Trailheads are not posted anywhere. Once you find the trail and stay on it, it’s really cool. The lake is gorgeous and the trail is fun. Make sure you have your gps on while you are out because there are too many ways to get off the main trail. Also very muddy, FYI.

This is a beautiful trail but it was more difficult and steep with snow, ice and flooded areas. Will be back in summer!

Great hike, trails weren’t marked too great. Moderate challenge and a lot of the trail was footpaths. Beautiful view at the lake.
