Capital City Trail is a 10.2 mile heavily trafficked point-to-point trail located near Madison, Wisconsin and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

i agree with directions here. it led me to a street with few parking spots. i travel in an rv so i found a nearby business ..closed on sat so it worked. u did a few miles till i saw signs for the Lake i did that. Beautiful city. I rode my Me-Mover ...ended up doing 18 miles

This is a great trail but the Map link for the start of the trail is a little off. Start in the middle of a neighborhood. Beautiful walk around the Lake.

Awesome day out in Madison. Rent a bike (like one of the B-Cycles) and make it a loop by hooking up with Military Ridge. Stop for a picnic at Lake Farm.

I rode this trail a few times and it is very interesting that you get to see many different levels of the city. It is not a difficult trail to ride, but that depends on the traffic, people and bike, I mean.
