Hike from Luxemburg to Kewaunee. Old railroad grade so it’s wide, level and flat. Mix of pea gravel trail and crusty snow and ice. Rated as moderate due to length of 16.7 miles. Multi-use trail with no motorized vehicles allowed. Porta-potty at trailhead at 4 mile mark from Luxemburg, a bench 9 miles from Kewaunee and a picnic table at 2 1/4 miles from Kewaunee. No other facilities on trail. Frequent wildlife sightings; deer, turkeys and waterfowl. Route includes portions of both Ahnapee State Trail and Ice Age Scenic Trail.
