A great history hike with tons of ruins and artifacts! This flat, easy trail goes along the banks of the Shenandoah river and a railway as you visit the water ductworks of a once active mill site. Interpretive signs show pictures of the day.

There are other loops to make this trail longer. Civil war reenactments are often nearby in the park.

Really lovely stroll by the river. I don't know if I'd really consider it a "hike," but it was a great walk with the family!

Not a hiking trail per se, more of a walking path. Great for dogs and great views of the Shenandoah River. Perfect little stroll before spending the day in Harpers Ferry.

Loved this trail Mother's Day weekend. It was easy with very little mud.

A pretty path along the Shenandoah that is easy and quick. We used it to walk from parking to Harper’s Ferry and thus walked outside of the trail limits as shown on the map. There is a brief period that you must traverse on sand. Dog friendly!

This trail isn’t marked or labeled, at all. It’s neat to see some of the historic ruins and read their signs, otherwise, there’s not much to this “trail”. If you’re not following the map, you’ll get off-route, as there’s plenty of other places to walk in the area. This trail is easy and serves as a good little dog walk.

This is a nice and easy walk with beautiful scenery. The bluebells were in full bloom. Lots of historical significance in this place.

Quiet, peaceful walk. Even in the dead of winter. Would recommend for anyone interested in a very historic Area (Harpers Ferry) that also has beautiful scenery.

This tranquil scenic area was the site of a munitions factory during the Civil War. If you have the opportunity to take a guided hike with a park volunteer, do it. If not, enjoy the lush greenery and the views of the river. A nice hike for a muggy summer day.
