Getting There

There are two picnic pavilions and a playground near the property. Restrooms are not available.

Start off close to the gate to the parking area (or, another entry point is just past the gate near the volleyball court). There is a small trail access area indicated by blue blazes on the trees. From there, you will go through an area of tall pine trees , followed by a field area, and back into the pine trees. After this section of trail, there is an opening with picnic pavilions and playground equipment. Take a left at this area and head up the hill near the fence. This will take you into a trail called Round-About. There are several mountain bike features in this section of trail. Once this section of the trail is completed, there is a steep drop and you will cross a small field region into another area of trail. This section is the largest area of singletrack trail. Continue to follow the blue blazes. If you see any orange blazes, this indicates to utilize caution as there may be a trail feature not suitable for all mountain bikers. There are ways around these caution areas. You will next come out onto a gas well road, which will eventually lead you into a final, short section of singletrack trail. After this is complete, cross the road that leads up to Buckhannon-Upshur High School. Once across the road, turn right and to through the grass until you see an opening in the trees with a blue blaze. Go through this opening and turn right, going through a mowed section of field. Use caution through the field if you are on foot, there are many crayfish holes in the ground. This will lead you back to the start.

Go into the road leading up to Buckhannon-Upshur High School. There will be a small road, going left. Take the road to the left and then turn left and head towards the football field. There is a gate, that is occasionally closed. If it is closed, park in the small gravel area before the gate. If opened, there is a parking area near two picnic pavilions.
