Trout Pond - Long Mountain Loop is an extension to the shorter 3.2 mile hike around the Lake and campground areas. The trail starts at the main lake parking lot area, circles around the west side of Rockledge Lake to the Trout Pond Trail. At the intersection of Crackwhip Furnace trail, it heads south to the top of the the Long Mountain ridgeline. At the top turn west and follow Judge Rye Road for a couple of miles until the intersection with Trout Pond Trail. Head north and back down the mountain until you reach the campground. Walk west through the campground and follow the trail north past the main Trout Pond Sinkhole and back to the main parking area.
