Walked for 3.5 miles in brush with NO trail. Leaves hide it IF it is there. Will never do it again.

Trail was pretty hard to find. But easy to wander around til you find something. Lots of nice and secluded places with no one around if you’re feeling particularly romantic ;) . Bugs of course because of the lake. But very enjoyable time if you look past that. Spectator boats floating about, But nothing beyond expected. Highly recommend.

HikingOff trail

Fantastic hike aside from the 2 mile section of trail which doesn't exist in the north west quadrant of the lake. Had to bushwack to make it through. I'm glad I had maps downloaded on my watch because there's no markings, just suddenly no trail.

Great trail in spring - a different combination of trails. However, the 1.5 miles on North trail side really does not exist after first creek so a little tiring making way through. Trail muddy in spots on fourth side and lots of fun river crossings. Walking on road easy but it is a road. But parts of train going through woods was wonderful - greatly enjoyed it. Road in not bad - they must have graded it.

Really nice hike with several beautiful stream crossings - once you find the trail that is. The first part doesn't exist until you get about halfway down the lake (west side). Lots of bushwhacking to get through. Once the trail develops, it was wonderful. Be prepared for both bushwhacking and deep creek crossings (up to knees at least).

First to Review

Almost half of this trail is on the dirt road. The other half is lovely with many indications of the wildlife present (deer trails, woodpeckers, and animal tracks.) Short inclines/declines. Several stream crossings that require you either get creative or get wet.
