Absolutely gorgeous view at the top, but the walking trail itself does not vary much in appearance. Still a great walk through the woods. Not too steep, and not horribly crowded, but we did pass several groups during the hike and we shared the top of the mountain with a few other groups as well.

Rocky in some places and muddy in others. Not much elevation gain, but still, wonderful view at the end.

Rewarding view at the end. The road/trail out to raven rock is very rocky with lots of golf ball and baseball size rocks to twist an ankle. Bring your binoculars and look at all the goobers over at coopers rock overlook.

This is my go-to trail when I have visitors. It is just the right length and just the right amount of exertion to feel like you've done something. The overlook at the end is amazing and is what keeps me coming back to this trail.

Pretty decent hike...very rocky trail...overall it's pretty easy with some nice views of fern beds and humongous rock structures.

The hike was good and rocky in most places, hence the name. I spent the previous week in Virginia doing a section of the AT. After seeing those overlooks, Raven's Rocks power lines didn't thrill me. The view from the top is beautiful. Although the area is breathtaking, you'll give a big thumbs down to the power lines that meet you at the top.

Nice trail about 1/2 way through you can trek off the trail and follow the stream for a bit, it's refreshing especially on your way back

Not a bad trail, but heavily trafficked.

great hike an a awesome view at the end

Ravens Rock is a better overlook than the Main Overlook, in my opinion. Be very careful, especially with children, as there are no railings at the overlook. The power lines at the end kind of messes it up, but it's still beautiful....The trail itself is like a gravel road near the beginning but it improves the further you go. Lots of nice scenery and little side trails along the way. It's family/pet friendly, but you must have decent feet/stability as it is very rocky in places. This is my favorite trail at Coopers Rock S.P.

I grew up here as a kid and this was my favorite place to go. It is a great hike to go have lunch on the rock. There are also a few geocaches along the trail.

Great hike to a super scenic but much less touristy overlook. The trail / access road is a little rocky and there is running water for most of it after a rain but it is really worth it.

Great trail! Can get muddy if it's rained within a couple of days. there are plenty of nice detours to take while walking the trail.

A bit rocky initially. Wonderful tall rock outcroppings, and a pleasant view at Raven Rock. I liked parking at the front, taking Scott Run (which is one of my favorite trails in the park), over the McCollum Trail, hiking out to Raven Rock, and then taking the easy roadside trail back into the front parking lot. It made a nice ~~ 7 mile loop.

Love this trail! A little rocky @ the beginning but the view at the end is worth it all! There's a great place at the end of the trail to hang Eno Hammocks & chill! Be sure to take a camera!

Beautiful hike to a great overlook. I went on Memorial Day weekend (Sunday) early in the morning. The trails are marked well, there is also trail heads and mi markers along some of the way. Easy hike along the roadside trail up to the overlook. Print off the map included on All Trails as it was a great guide to take some of the other trails in the park. Go early and sit and enjoy the view from the rocks!

The Second most celebrated "rock" at Coopers Rock State forest (behind the forest's namesake itself) Raven Rock is well worth the 4 mile up and back for sure. Only take-away is the power lines at the overlook!
