Piney Ridge Trail is a 0.7 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Berkeley Springs, West Virginia that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and mountain biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Most trails are unmarked and run together so ended up combining multiple trails. Nice and clear and gorgeous views of the mountains and lakes.
We got there about a week or two early for foliage. There was a lot of yellow around but not much more. Although there is a little up and down on the trail, it is gentle. Mostly pine and oak, although I did see a few other trees. The trail is very well maintained.
