This trail begins at the end of a large gravel parking lot. The path is narrow at first but widens once in the woods. Only toward the northern end does it start to descend as it approaches the point. The last 100 feet are very narrow with steep drop-offs to the left and right. This is the best spot for photographing the bridge and some of the gorge. Along this trail you'll also see two cut-offs leading down into the gorge on the Kaymor Mine Trail and across the gorge you'll see the Endless Wall Trail.

Beautiful view at the end!

Beautiful and serene. The rock can be crowded on a beautiful day, but very much worth it. Muddy after a bit of rain but they are currently building some wooden walkways to cover the worst bits.

It was muddy today, but at the view of the New River Gorge Bridge made it well worth it!!

Easy hike with a great payoff. Gentle walk through the woods with some small hills and roots at the end. You can then rest on a nice cliff face and take in the sweeping vista that includes the New River Bridge. 1-2 hours depending on how fast you hike and how much time you want to enjoy the view. Highly Recommend.

Great trail. Easy hike with beautiful scenic view from the rocks at the end. Lots of Copperheads crossing the trail at dusk.
