The trail is primarily used for walking, trail running, birding, and road biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

I did 2.25 miles ... it's a nice river walk ... quiet and peaceful ... scenery was ok. good place to bike, jog, or walk.

very good trail, nice view of the Ohio River. Quiet trail connects to the Purple Heart Trail in Beech Bottom, WV then connects to the Brook Trail in Wellsburgh, WV. Approx. 24 miles total from Heritage Port in downtown Wheeling.
