Absolutely incredible trail. A little magical, a little enchanting, and a good little workout on the way back! Allow yourself time to explore the river around the footbridge and then again at the outcrops! Amazing views almost the entire hike. Love the moss everywhere! Extremely disappointed with AllTrails for not working properly. Will definitely be bringing my group, Heather's Adventures, here in the Spring!

My wife and I hiked it. Took our time. Ate lunch and stopped to smell the roses, etc. Took about 3 hours total. Very limited parking. Incredible view from the top! Great summit to reward the effort. Took my new Zamberlan Boots out for their first hike. Got a blister. But still enjoyed them. Backpacking boots may have been overkill but they helped stabilize my ankles and support the pack I carried. Wasn’t expecting all the rocks throughout the trail path, but it was a good hike all the way around.

Nice trail. I would suggest good shoes and sturdy ankles. Took about 90 minutes out and back.

HikingGreat!

We had a great time on the trail! My husband and I hiked with our little dog Sammy, and we loved the views from the rocks at Devils Nose. There is more downhill going in than on the way out so the walk back was definitely a bit more difficult, but we were surprised when we got to the car. There is a nice stopping point at the creek/bridge along the path that was perfect for us to rest for a moment.

Great day on trail! All was as described by others. Appreciated that it was a fairly dry hike, no slippery rocks, despite the recent rain. Definitely recommend!

Really loved this trail; it was perfect for a rainy vacation day! At the intersection of the Tuscarora Trail, we continued down the hill to the stream and spent some time wading, then returned to the trail and headed to the Devil’s Nose lookout. It was a very wet and rainy day so the rocks were slick and the view was foggy, but it still was a fabulous hike. Definitely moderate as terrain goes, but my 12- and 9-yr-old kids were fine.

More hilly than I was anticipating. Didn’t tell my husband to leave me to die on my mountain until the last .1 miles. Don’t recommend if you aren’t in shape, but the view at the turn around was worth it. There was a lovely, cool stream on route that provided a nice resting point.

Hiking

I hiked this trail with pretty low expectations as a lot of the trails in this area aren't particularly good, but this hike really surprised me. Here are my trail notes for this hike: . the trail is unusual that it goes immediately down at sometimes a moderately steep grade. . at .7 miles I advise to turn right at the Tuscarora trailhead towards Devils nose. If you continue straight it goes downhill to a dead end along a pretty but shallow creek. There is a stream crossing but that was where alltrails said to turn around. . The trail to Devil's nose is surprisingly eventful and scenic. The bridge is OK, but it looks like there is a decent swimming hole to the left of it. . All along this trail there are significant albeit brief changes in elevation. . Devils nose is quite nice, despite a little graffiti. The first overlook is quite large, and if you continue down there are other nice overlooks. . My favorite spot was on top of the large rock at the large flat granite area. By climbing it, you clear some trees and get a nice 270° view. I will probably hike this again sometime.

Starts out as a dirt road, but once you turn right to go up the peak, it’s a beautiful hike with a very rewarding view! The Mt Laurels were still in bloom and added to the trail’s beauty.
