Nice day ride. Slightly uphill going out. Nice mostly easy ride coming back. Some nice waterfall views. A bridge or two toward the end. Some traffic noise for some of the ride. Go's past the limestone plant. May encounter a little dust for a short distance. Partially shaded. Worth doing. Take a ride and have dinner in one of Morgantown's great restaurants/pubs afterward.

Used to ride this frequently with the kids when they were growing up late 90s to about 2003. As others have mentioned, the scenery is beautiful complete with some lovely waterfalls and the area around the cascades are gorgeous. Since the trail is railroad grade I believe easy to moderate is a better description than hard unless you plan to do the whole trail by

This trail is beautiful and rates in my book with parts of the Great Allegheny Passage.

Love riding the Decker's Creek trail. The ride up is challenging, but the way back down is a well earned blast. The trail is very well maintained aside from the downtown Morgantown section. Road intersections are clearly posted, and there are even quite a few picnic tables to stop at in case you need a break.

Always a fun day ride!
