The Monongahela national forest is one of my favorite places to spend my time when I come back home to West Virginia. It fills you with peace being out in this area of West Virginia. This is one of the most beautiful places in God's homeland.

A good trail if you have small children or elderly with you. More of a sight seeing destination. Bring shoes you don't mind getting wet. We went the day after a rain storm and the boardwalk covered ankle deep with water. Would be a good place to run laps if not crowded and it had not recently rained.

A leisurely walk, patches of snow still visible, unusual fauna for this far south. Check out the meat eating plant(s). Took my nephew. His first time here.
