Make sure you take plenty of water. During the Spring, Summer, and Fall months, the visitor center is open for food and water which is around the halfway point. I recommend taking traveling counter clockwise via the advanced ski trail. Take your time and enjoy the scenery and the historic Henry Clay Furnace. Note: During Spring and Summer be mindful of the potential for snakes. Just watch where you are putting your feet, especially when exploring off trail.

This trail was outstanding. Clearly marked, we did the day hike and also did Raven Rock Trail as well. Amazing scenery. Will definitely be back to do this trail again
