Short, easy lollipop loop. Make sure you turn left at 0.3 miles to head into the forest, not right to head into the prairie. Although you are near the edge of the gorge, there are no views. There are some nice beech and hemlock trees.

Nice, short hike from the Burnwood Day Use Area. There's a picnic area at the trailhead, too. It's pretty, right across from the Visitor Center parking lot.

Nice easy walking trail that you can enjoy just being in the woods. Great trail for walking the dogs too.

Located across RT19 from New River Gorge Visitor Center. Lisa and I hiked this loop after we went on the Tree Tops Canopy zip line tour. This is an adventure packed area of West Virginia a must go to spot.
