Not a bad trail, but it wasn't anything spectacular. Besides the rock, the best part of the hike was the amber colored (blackwater) stream along Shay Trace trail by the lodge.

We came after the immense rain over the past few weeks. It was an easy trail, well marked, and muddy (as expected).

Loved the really doesn’t look as though it’s just one single one! The trail is labeled as easy and while it wasn’t hard, it had a lot of roots making the hike tricky at times.

Nice leisurely hike. I took my Dad who is 76 and in decent shape and my sister who is not really in to hiking. They both enjoyed the scenery and did not complain that it was too hard. A lot of the trail was pretty muddy but passable. It had rained quite a bit in the past few days. We made this a loop by taking the Red Spruce trail to the Water Tank trail back to the parking lot.

I have been coming to black water falls every year science I was a baby and this has always been one of my favorite trails. It is always pretty muddy at some parts so I would advise against wearing your nicest shoes.

Easy walking trail, scenery is pretty much the same the entire trip. Making it to the rock formation is definitely the highlight of the trip.

Great trail off blackwater falls. We started at Cabin 13 and walked it down to Elakala trail that leads to Blackwater lodge. Neat rock structure, moderate hike, few little streams along the way.

Within a series of trails at blackwater falls. Very beautiful in the snow. The lodge/convention center near the trail also has a restaurant.

Nice little out and back hike... Interesting vegetation, beautiful forest. Won't rock your world or anything but nice little relaxing hike in a beautiful, easily accessible area.
