Visited Oct. 2109....Never rode the entire trail.... basically a grass path.... Did however discover the new singletrack aka. The Promised Land, that crosses Back Hollow, now for mountain biking The Promised Land Singletrack was very Awesome trail very flowy and not too technical.....5⭐ wanted to ride again before I left but rain prevented that.... Davis WV and the Canaan Valley is a great place to visit. will def be back...

Took a detour onto the monarch trail and it was an amazing experience. Hundreds of butterflies everywhere. Well worth the trip.

It was more of a pleasant walk in a very nice grassy meadow than a hike. Lots of butterflies and flowers, but really not strenuous at all.
