Great hike for kids. We cut across at the end to see the animals. They loved it. Combo of forest hiking and seeing the farm, even though it’s closed.

The trails behind the farm area are hidden and I didn't realize how much forested area there was. These loops are lush with forests, running creeks, small bridges and little hills. The trails stretch in miles of crisscrosses around the forest and back to the farm. I was pleasantly surprised by the light rugged feel of the forest given how pastoral the main park is. I have also taken some of the trails on a bike. While fun, they are steep and interrupted by stairs in a few parts.

3/18/2017 (Saturday) - Just after long hours (days) of rains, the creeks become rapids, and the marshes are flooded. People began to come to this farm, but not many. The sheep will be sheared in late April. On the east side, there is a steep slope with good trails. One may loop for 1-2 hours in this park.

9/20/2015 (Sunday): The eastern part of the park is a trail loop inside woods, including a section of Lake-to-Lake Trail, and a section of power line trail, stretching south. The western part is an animal farm, and good for an easy walk.

A great place for kids that also has some really well kept trails for running or even mountain biking if you're primarily interested in getting in shape for the season or some cheap thrills. There is a long wooden staircase built into the hillside that is a great workout if you're there on foot.
