Great little hike/nature walk in the city. We parked in the little gravel turnoff along the lake road, small but plenty of room for quite a few cars. All the elavation gain is right when you start, it looks daunting but once you hit the top it levels out, we had an 8, 4, and 3 year old with us and they ran most of the way up. At the top of the hill the trail branches off for a few different options, we followed signs to Phantom Creek. We saw 2 owls, crossed a cute creek, spotted a hidden waterfall, and had fun in the little lookouts they built over the creek bed. Great for kids nearby. Saw only a handful of people on our way.

Steep trail with very little parking. But our 2 and 5 year old had no problems on this trail.

Nice neighborhood trail right off Lake Sammamish, parked on the north east side, on a little stench of gravel parking available for about 5 to 6 cars. The trail here starts off pure incline, isn’t difficult, but will definitely get you going. Overall the views and little waterfall were great to come across. We hiked this short trail with my 3 year old son and he had a blast.

This is our local trail. Anyone who is scaling rocks took a wrong turn. It is not easy compared to other "easy" AllTrails trips, but it is kid friendly unless we are talking under three / still put stuff in their mouth. I'd give it a moderate rating based on other trails in this app, because the trails are steep and lack of gravel makes them slippery at times. If you have any balance or related issues bring hiking poles. We walk it almost daily in flip flops, so it just depends on your comfort level and ability. There is old growth forest, peekaboo lake views, waterfalls, little bridges, and wildflowers. You are more likely to see a Husky or a robin than any exotic wildlife, though. This trail has a few main branches and they are close together, so plan ahead if you have a time or energy limit. Otherwise you could end up on a longer route than you intended. Locals seem to feel this is a good off-leash trail because of the low traffic. So keep kids close.

This is like 4 different trails. Definitely not 6 feet wide except one place. It's fine for jogging or dog walks.

Great, well maintained trail. Several cute waterfalls, and plenty of space to get around fellow walkers to keep our 6-ft of separation

I'm not sure why this hike is labeled easy. It's a very steep hike up a hill through mud and steep cliffs. This is not kid friendly or easy at all. I'm here right now with my two boys. I'm sure it's a nice hike for people that don't have little children.

I’m on this trail now, stopped to give a brief review. It’s beautiful and green, great shade cover. It’s definitely an intermediate trail, starting into a fairly steep incline right away. There’s several flights of steps in areas and very little flat areas. Nice wildlife to see like squirrels, woodpeckers and some beautiful spider webs. I’ve only seen two benches to rest, so take those if you need. Enjoy!

This is not an easy trail. It’s very pretty but very steep with about only ten minutes of no incline or decline. Also many forks in road but all trips easily helped w that I would def rate it moderate to hard. It’s really pretty though took my three dogs w me

Very pleasant and well-maintained trail. I got off path a couple of times but that’s likely my navigation problems rather than signage. A lot of inclines and several sections of steps. Would be slippery if the ground was wet I would guess. I went during a weekday midday and there was only one other person I ran across. Very quiet and lovely.

Very pleasant (and convenient) hike, green and shady. Surprisingly quiet given how close it is to roads, and not a lot of other people on the trail. Toward the end of our hike we even saw several woodpeckers!

I would recommend this trail for those who want a bit of a workout in terms of inclines. It starts off really hilly. We went around 1.30 pm and the traffic was very light. Lots of people with dogs. Trail is well maintained with signs. It was a bit muddy but not terrible. I think it would be a good trail for trail running as it’s a shortish workout.

Very green and lush and to me, as a native North Carolinian, this trail struck me as quintessentially PNW. All the ferns and moss and evergreens were beautiful. The trail is a bit hilly, so you will get a workout, but is very well maintained.

Classic Seattle suburbs trail. Very clear and well maintained. Very steep hill coming up off Lake Washington Boulevard, then rolling up and down hills.

Wonderful rainforest atmosphere, hilly sections but not technically difficult. I stopped half a dozen times to shoot pics. Being that I’m a tourist living in a relatively flat part of America I loved this quiet beauty that made me feel I was miles from reality.

If you are looking for a nice walk close to town and a good, quick workout, this is good bang for the buck. My fitness tracker estimated total elevation gain to be 800 ft over 3.25 mi. Beautiful trees but don't expect things to be too quiet this close to roads and houses.
