Good simple loop trail. Hard to park if coming later on and there are a few that either park to far apart or park right at the trailhead view. So keep an eye out. Due to COVID-19, they have little signs in the ground showing which direction to go (some don’t follow), but a good walk.

Great loop with kids. Our three year old twins and daddy had the baby. A short steep incline but everything else was easy. Not stroller friendly.

my 6 yr old and I wandered this in about 45 minutes, and she literally Hugs trees on our wanders. afterward she even asked to go on another trail. Kid approved, not too many people.

One of my all time favorite places to hike! If you take the additional short little trails, you can get quite the exercise! Beautiful area!

Beautiful nature walk. It is well marked and has some educational markers in it that describe some of the animals and foliage. It has a little stream throughout. Bring a light jacket because it it’s chilly under the forest coverage. And keep an eye out for the fairies they live under mushrooms .

Plenty of resting check points and lightly traveled by others, seldom see anyone else. Pretty easy hike and plenty of beautiful spots to enjoy nature. Convenient place to just escape into the beautiful wilderness and I would recommend this to most anyone, as long as you don’t have any mobility issues.

Good trail! We definitely had fun while doing it. Definitely note that this is NOT stroller friendly. There were a few rough spots but overall it was really nice.

Super dog friendly, nice people, and great easy trail for anyone needing a nice nature walk. There was one large hill but nothing you can’t handle! Nice paved paths and a ton of beautiful bridges.

Parking right on side of road. Brought my 1 year old Berner, very doable for dogs. Well kept albeit muddy. Could be a good workout if you tried to do it fast due to some brief inclines. Could be a good trail run as well on a low traffic day.

Kids from 6-13 loved this! Long enough to get energy out and short enough not to have to carry them out.

Nice easy trail to do with kids, leaves make the trail pretty this time of year. Nothing special!

Very well maintained trail. Usually see a few people but never too busy.

Lovely all year round, parts of the trail are incredibly secluded & quiet, while some are closer to the road & concomitant noise. Lots of dogs off leash, so unfortunately there is a fair amount of animal waste, watch your step! Otherwise, this is one of the best parks in Olympia proper.

Nice easy trail with pretty foliage and streams. Apparently there was a recent cougar siting, which, as you can imagine, was a bit nerve wracking to venture the trail alone. But made it back whole!
