Wallace Falls is set of nine different cataracts in all which are well worth the hike up. The hike is short enough for a day time picnic outing. Be prepared to get a little exercise as it is a 1200 foot elevation gain up to the falls. On the trail, you'll find many examples of Cascade regional flora and fauna as well as some old growth forest. The trailhead is easy to find with public bathrooms and drinking water available. The path and well marked with bridges and nicely railed vista platforms to view the falls. There is also a covered picnic area when you reach the bottom falls. It is recommended to only take kids that are over 4 years old or very athletic. A lot of people stop at the picnic area to turn around and go back. However, if you hike the next mile, you'll get to see all of the upper falls which are quite beautiful. This trail is very popular and you will encounter others along the way. Discovery Pass is available to purchase at the visitor booth at the entrance to the trail ($30 for the year or $10 for a day). This is required.

Trail is in good condition! No snow up there today and minimal muddy spots. Started at 10am finished by noon. Not too crowded! Falls were beautiful!

Took the dog and we were on the trail at 8:15am and made it up to the top of the falls and back down in 3 hours. Trail was relatively quiet when we arrived, however as we were coming down there were tons of people arriving to go up! Temps were cool with the blanket of fog, but still worked up a good sweat from the pace that the dog and I set. Trails were in good condition, a little slippery here and there and muddy here and there as well (no big deal). By far, this is my favorite waterfalls location in the state of Washington to date!!

Great hike! Tons of waterfalls and a moderately steep incline in some parts. It was very foggy but thankfully not raining. Would definitely recommend. Plenty of parking. A Discover pass is required.

Beautiful, a little tricky towards the upper falls but definitely worth it. Started around noon on a Wednesday and was off the trail by 3pm. Trail was dry, lots of stairs. Nice little staircase that leads out to the river. Took a break on the way back and sat on a big rock in the middle.

first two waterfall views are a must see but the upper view not so much. it's worth seeing the first time ( sort of) but the second time not so much.

Hiked to the lower, middle, and upper falls today. The Trail was in excellent condition, the views were great, and the fall colors were still on full display.

Went on this trial mid-October. Although it was raining, my friends and I still enjoyed the hike! There’s plenty of shade throughout. You start off walking along the river and slowly incline up. We hiked all the way to the top and there’s a lookout over the entire valley area which was really nice. The waterfall is beautiful! You can evensee it from the freeway during the drive. Parking is $10 if you don’t have a pass.

Great hike with great weather. Trail is in excellent condition. Almost something to see most of the way up. Moss encrusted pines, bubbling brooks, the running Wallace River and of course the falls. The view from the middle falls i feel is best but the hike to the top is still worth doing

Good trail! It was well maintained and dry on the way up. It’s more like 5.5 miles if you include the gravel road you take at the beginning from the parking lot and go up to the upper falls. Plenty of benches along the way to rest. We got there just after sunrise and there were maybe 10 cars in the lot, and we only saw maybe 5 people on the way up. The lot was much more crowded (but not full) when we got back around 11 am and we saw a ton of people as we were headed down the trail.

Today was the perfect day to hike up Wallace Falls. Most of the trail is pretty dry now, there are a few steeper parts especially heading to the upper falls. The day was sunny which took the chill off the morning air. Lots of levels to this falls, which looked so icy cold and beautiful. A very refreshing invigorating hike.

Overall, beautiful hike! Lots of shade and some tough uphill parts. Watch out for the steps being slippery but fantastic views and lots of flowing water!

We just did the lower falls and it was pretty quick and easy! A couple slightly steep hills but nothing too bad. Would definitely do again but only if I did the middle and upper falls hike too. The trail was a tiny bit muddy but I was in Birkenstock’s and did fine (I forgot my boots).

Rainy and muddy today, but spots of sunshine and lots of fog. Absolutely beautiful. Falls were full and stunning. One of our new favorite hikes. Fall colors are out and rivers are running, few people that were polite on trail.

Did this bad boy the other day and it was soooo pretty!!! The falls were pretty awesome, and lots of views along the way which was nice! A few switch backs and some bugs, but overall an awesome hike. They even had a picnic table in the middle of the trail which was pretty cool. Also, a pretty good work out! Definitely got the heart pumping. We had a really good time doing this! I would for sure recommend!

Great hike that was challenging for my partner who is not an avid hiker like myself. I loved it the beauty and challenging climbs.

Fabulous hike, exceptionally well-maintained trail. Beautiful views at lower and middle falls but didn’t make it to upper falls this time, unfortunately.

Beautiful forest and relaxing sound of the river all the time. Will do it again some time.

I hiked this trail with my family. It was raining, which I loved. The sound of the river on the way up to the waterfall was so nice! The view from the lower view point was alright, but so much better at the middle viewpoint. I would’ve loved to have hiked to the upper view point, but we had no time.
