In late June we made the trip. Yes, mile 3.5 has a ton of windfall that probably last around 1/4 mile. Not talking one or two trees. I almost thought the hill had slid at first glance... It is passable and we did so, but with multi day packs, it was quite exhausting. Managed to clean it up a bit for the next guy, but still, a rough go. Once past that, the rest of the trail is decent, with only a downed tree every now and then.

Blowdown

june 19th did a recon hike to see what have been hearing. after the tumwater tr. intersection there are sporadic wind falls. at 3.5 miles you will find a mass of down trees. I think people have found there way through but we had enough info and pic for our report. it's going to be a big job to cut this trail out.. the road in from tadnipam park was good and creek crossings intact. still a nice 2 mile hike to the intersection of tumwater free and clear, some muddy spots will be drying soon.

Goat Creek trail had a severe amount of blowdown, heavy enough to obscure the trail. We chose to turn back. 5-16-2020

After the right fork towards vans on lake, there’s an incredible amount of blow down for quite a ways, that - I didn’t feel like braving so late in the day. Getting back through there in low light would be difficult at best.

Just got home from a overnight trip. The trail has quite a few blowdowns but the trail is passable. I made it up to about 3,500 foot elevation and hit the snow. Good trip overall lots of waterfalls, can’t wait until summer and I will give it another try.

I hiked part of this trail in July. My friends & I found sooo many huckleberries!!! We spent hours picking. A beautiful spot & pretty waterfall.
