HikingGreat!

My favorite hike, I make sure I hike this trail every year. Wicked drive getting there, but worth it. I suggest bringing a light jacket although we didn’t actually need it yesterday. Lots of places to stop, rest & take in the scenery. Dogs are allowed (on a leash please), but mine didn’t join us this hike since we wanted to cross the narrow log bridges... & I didn’t want to risk her getting hurt.

This is one steep trail. About a 35% grade. It will connect you to an old abandoned forest service road #2860 I think. Continuing left up the overgrown road will take you to the Upper Maynard Burn Way Trail which will then go up the south face of Mt. Baldy. Bring water as you will climb 3818 ft in 3.5 miles and there is no water the entire route.
