How bad could that be? Not bad...absolutely FABULOUS! A bit of an up hill battle for this old lady, my chambray was a little sweat soaked after the initial incline ... to clarify - this incline is between mile posts 1 and 2, if you’re going counter clockwise. Jeffrey had read about this prior to our departure. Save the pristine rolling hills for the trek down. There are several bridges for gorgeous photo opts. I definitely recommend either the two person wide bridge or the bridge with only one rail. You’ll definitely know which one I’m describing when you see. But wow, so beautiful! Oh and don’t forget your mask ... if you don’t have time to make your own then store bought is fine.

Beautiful, well maintained trail. Moderate, only one steep portion in the beginning of the trail. Definitely recommend the extra few miles to go to the lookout, because that’s the only place you really get a view on the hike.

Moderate only because of the uphill, wide and well maintained trail. Definitely add the extra few miles to the lookout.

One of my favorite moderate to difficult trails! Added two additional miles to the total by going to the viewpoint. Since we started at the day hike shack our total miles ended up. Being more like 7 miles. Did it in four hours. Trails looked they were recently maintained. New gravel in some places. Started clockwise. It was fine but pretty steep all the way up.

Lovely hike today on my go-to trail. Took it clockwise. I ran across other hikers, and a family of baby and mama grouse, on the way up. Didn’t see anyone on the way down until I hit the campsite. Some bridge and trail maintenance had been done recently. Sunny, gorgeous afternoon. I walked about 6 miles total.

This was a beautiful hike with bridges and views of the creek almost the whole time. I recommend going counterclockwise, raking both confluence trails, and going to the overlook. It was a lot of climbing, but it was steady and never too steep. I’m coming back for sure.

This was a great trail! I did not go counterclockwise as recommended in other reviews so there were a lot of hills for the first half but it wasn’t too difficult. There are also benches and places to sit pretty frequently. Trails are well kept and not too narrow although me and my partner had to go single file in certain parts. There are a lot of bridges and the water is super pretty.

Make sure you start the trail counterclockwise if you don’t want to go up a large hill for the first half of the hike!

Great trail if you love forestry scenery and pretty creeks! Definitely one of those loop trails where it’s a steep incline going up and a quick decent down. Not easy on the knees! I loved all of the little bridges crossing over the waterways. Perfect 3 hr hike for a drizzly day since the main attraction wasn’t the little glimpses of Ellinor (although that would have been nice to see!)

There are certain parts of this trail that are very pretty, the river crossings & if you hike up to the lookout. There aren’t many spots for views though you will see Mt Ellinor peaking out at certain points. All in all I wish I had hiked a different trail on such a clear day, but the trail is in wonderful condition.

Super pretty and totally worth the trek. Very well maintained trail. Some of the bridges are less sturdy than others, but I never felt at all concerned about them. Ran into a few people (some with dogs), but the majority of the trail was quiet and beautiful.

Nice trail, well kept. I haven’t done much hiking recently so a bit of a workout for the first uphill half, but very enjoyable. Took us about 2.5 hours. We brought our two dogs and they had a great time.

I'd recommend counter-clockwise as the ascent is much more enjoyable on the east side (more creeks, true trail). Coming down the west is just a boring wide gravel trail. There were some great bridges and creeks.

Trail is very well maintained, with no issues getting through. Few trees down but very easy to go around. We ended up going some extra miles to the viewpoint. Got there around 10, with only about 3 cars at the time. Didn’t see anyone until we were more then halfway done. Followed the social distancing guidelines of course but lots of cars lined up on the road when we were leaving. Perfect weather for hiking today.

This was a nice trail I took my family on with my youngest being 8. It was a a bit harder on the younger ones but generally a great trail with plenty of benches along the way for breaks if needed. We loved the sounds and views of the river following us along the trail. Overall a good day with the family.

Passed 3-4 groups/singles. Entire trail great conditions, 1-2 log tree/ downs but easy, no. Rangers! But gate closed
