The highlight was seeing a black bear!! This was on the bus portion of the trail between round and traditional lake. Both us and the bear were startled but felt little threat. Really enlivened. We were out there around 3:30 pm and the bear appeared to be foraging right along the trail

Very easy and short hike. Good signage, lots of families.

Nice quick loop around some areas with cool vegetation. Don’t expect to see much of the lake, the trails hardly get near it. Highway noise by part of it but not a huge deal. Most trafficked part was definitey the swamp trail portion, lots of families with kids. Was relatively empty the rest of the way.

Fine for an easy hike with hardly any elavation change. not a super clear path for a loop around the lake, but it's pretty easy to jump between trails to make your own loop.

It was a beautiful day out at Tradition Lake! Not crowded at all when we started at 830!

Flat, easy trail with some views of the lake. Was relatively low traffic- but also its winter (Feb).

The signage could be made clearer. And road noises are noticeable during certain stretches. Other than that, it's a neat little loop. Probably good for small kids. Very gentle. Not much elevation changes. And the trails are relatively wide and soft for the most part.

Fun trail to go into with my sons and dog. Took the Swamp Train in and did the Zoe and the Swamp Monster story hike.

This was a low key, pretty, and easy to drive to hike that was great for everyone from families and elderly to trail runners etc. There is also a nice interpretive trail set up for young kids off of the main lake trail. When my wife was pregnant this was a great hike for her to get outside and enjoy the nice weather with over-doing it. We went back recently only to discover Seattles Homeless Camp 4 is set up at the trailhead affectively blocking the road to get to some of the paths. I would not recommend going alone or taking young children by yourself.

Casual walk in the woods. Disappointed you can't actually get to the lake.

Nice, easy, well maintained trail/loop. Got a little confused as the loop was made up of several individual trails. Kids should like the swamp trail with the 'Zoe the raccoon' adventure.

Easy and nice - the lake is not "swimmable", but still a nice walk, kids friendly and with many options (we did the full circle depicted in the app).

Super fun easy trail! We got a bit lost as some trails weren't labeled but found our way back eventually!

Did a four mile loop around wetlands and high school trail. Was a nice trek even in the heat. Trails getting really dusty and footing sketchy on some parts.

We did 3 miles today on the Bus Trail loop. We had a great time and will be back to do the Tiger Mountain Viewpoint trail. The trails were very well maintained. Highly recommend for people who like easy trails.

Actually went to this area to find the Tallus Rock loop, but was unable to find that trailhead. Instead took many of the nice paths around Tradition Lake. We found ourselves climbing towards the West Tiger Mountain summit. We ended up stopping with 1.9 miles to go to the viewpoint due to the kids (two 5 year olds and an 8 year old). We also found the old bus on the bus trail...go figure! Cool rusted shell of what is left of the bus. Had a great time and can not WAIT to go and find our original target!

This trail is what it says, easy. It is a beautiful area and the option to go off and make the hike longer if you want is great! Very easy, pretty, and a great little place to explore.

This a very easy but interesting trail. There are numerous offshoot trails and by following some of them you can easily turn this hike into a 5-6 mile hike through different ecological settings. Great place to bring the dog.I have hiked this area many times and have always found it interesting.

Tremendous noise from I-90, but once you're up in the woods you can't hear it. Pretty hike, easy for kids (they'd love the swamp trail and its story signs will motivate them to continue on), and we even saw a bear during our evening hike--which very much endeared the trail to my son. :)

Tradition Lake Plateau has a variety of hikes to choose from. The Tradition lake loop is a 1.5 mile flat hike, great for kids even the small toddlers. You can take a side route to Around The Lake Trail with a couple of glimpse views of the lake, only .5 miles, definitely worth the detour. From the Traditional Lake Loop you can choose to hike up to the West View Point trail. This is a 3.0 hike uphill with a beautiful view of the area at the top.
