Good walking trail. better if we biked or had roller blades. Decent view and just overall a good place to get outside.

Perfect paved trail that’s for walking, running, biking, and long boarding. Most of the trail is along the water too.

Great out and back trail, lots of room on trail. Not a lot of shade and can get HOT. GREAT views of water and trees on way back.

Do not use the trailhead marker on the AllTrails map. That spot is all private property with no parking. (Disregard star rating, did not walk it since I couldn’t park)

Meh. I wouldn't call this a hiking trail. It's concrete, not dirt & very industrial. The refinery is in view most of the way. It's paved, so would be nice for those who need that. Otherwise, I would skip it.

Sunday got here at 9:30 AM. we mistakenly parked at Anthony's, but we're going back at 11 so nobody noticed. took with my two shepherds. the old one tired out at the Friendship bench so we had to turn around. overall it was quiet. we took our time. would try it again

First time on this trail with my dog. Gorgeous Spring Day. We hiked the entire trails and to downtown Anacortes. We did about 7 miles. Amazing water views and Mount Baker in the distance. This place is great for all kinds, walking/hiking, skating, biking.

Great walk for the whole family. There is even a portapotty by the rv Park if someone needs to go. Lots of benchs along the way, placed in ideal locations for the best views.

We took a half of this trail. We parked the car on RV park, there is a parking place for walkers. This trail is super cool for inline skating, but I didnt see any. In our country is in line skating very popular and this trail would be full of people. We also saw a seals and from this trail you see the Baker mt. and the industrial park (rafinery). A star minus, you hear a noise from the road.

First to Review

This is a great scenic walk. I have both biked it and walked it this past weekend. The distance listed for the trail says 1 mile but this is incorrect and it is much longer than that. It is also named the Tommy Thompson Trail and not Tommy's trail. Signs all say Thompson Trail It is 2.0 miles from 34th St to March Point Rd and it is 3.3 miles from Anthony's to Marrch Point, 4.0 miles from Cap Sante Point.. Great views of Fidalgo Bay and Mount Baker when the Weather is clear. Opportunities to see eagles, all sorts of sea birds and even on rare occasions a sea otter. Great for bike riding, walking, and running. Has Public rest room just north of the roundabout at 22nd St and a porta-potty at the RV Park. Great for the family and easily wheelchair accessible except for up to Cap Sante point. A nice little 4 mile out and back from 34th ST to March Point and back.
