Beautiful but crowded

on the south side of the capitol hill hump, and quite worth the extra step. First impression is: What a Marvel. Second impression: let's wait until the pandemic is over; I suspect it gets crowded.

A nice, easy walk/slight hike through one of North Seattles most beautiful nature reserves. The arboretum is huge with plenty of trees, flowers, plants and scenic lookouts! What i love about the Arboretum is that you get to learn about your surroundings along the way! Theres plenty of signs identifying different trees/plants/flowers. Theres even a school for childeren that meets in the heart of the Arboretum that is completley designed from the durrounding nature. This loop is beautiful any time of year but i would HIGHLY recommend going in the spring when everything is in full bloom. Definitley a great spot for a scenic walk!

You could say that Washington Park has been on my "bucket list" for some time now. I've been meaning to come out this way in particular to walk the miles and miles of trail systems on the coast. I finally made it. There are a lot of driving roads and small spaces to pull your vehicle off to enjoy the views of the Great Pacific Ocean. I traveled down to the beach being that the tide was out and got to meander around in the little tide pools enjoying some of the ocean life that decided to stay behind while the roaring ocean traveled outbound. What a unique area to visit. Since it was summer, the weather was exceptionally nice, with a cool breeze coming off the water. Id love to visit this area again.

5/3/2018 (Thursday) - Start from Montlake/WA520, pass through the park by Azalea Way, then go along Madison St to the lakeside park (Madison Beach). Azalea in the park has not been in full blossom yet. It takes about 70 minutes for a relaxed walk. A very pleasant city walk in a luxurious residential/commercial district. The view across the lake is awesome.

Very beautiful path. I was on a road bike and it’s nice that the paths keep a rolling gate to them and that the signs for when to walk your bike were easily visible.
