Road seems to have been repaired - the patch before you reach the trail is now closed to vehicle traffic and they have a parking lot and restrooms at the trailhead. This seems to be the same as the Snoqualmie Lake Trail, and we followed that to Otter Falls, which was a spectacular sight and worth seeing. Might visit again for camping, but overall a great trail with direct access.
