Lots of stinging nettle. No real clear where the trail is. was clean. no trash but, one blanket is out off of the trail. We did all we could find to walk to and it was on 1.07 miles. Not sure how you would get 3.5miles out of this trail.

Definitely easy to get turned around in there. Quite a few pagan symbols throughout and it seems like people made housing in there?

In the past the trail was really bad and full of trash. I must say some one has been working hard and it’s so clean and well taken care of now. A nice out and back. Can stay long the hill side for up and down trails and take the hill top back for nice flat land.

This is a good place to go for a trail run right inside of Tacoma city limits, and it's a decent workout with its up & down. It's not the most beautiful trail, though, and there's a lot of trash and graffiti at the beginning.

Nice hike. A little muddy along the way. Recommend hiking shoes to get better traction.

This trail was full of glass. We got about halfway down with our pup and had to turn around out of fear of her getting her feet cut. There was dog poop everywhere, and just generally unclean. We were prepared for mud, but the feces and glass shards scattered through the WHOLE path was awful.

Great trail to take your pup! Scenic, combination of hills and other trails you can set off to. Shaded throughout the entire time. Somewhat busyness but not bad considering the location.

The entrance is at the red light of Waller and Pioneer! Decided to do this as a “relaxed” walk based on the reviews. Was my first and possibly last time here. You can do the loop or as an out and back. I did out and back roughly 2.5mi one way. The EASY trail follows a creek all the way down. Handful of people with kids or dogs playing at the beginning of the creek, and further back you go you can find swings / fire pits. I stopped at where you would start the “turn around” loop. Took in the quite and thought hey let me walk the creek bed back. It started out cool, with a few downed trees I felt like Legolas, I got to where the water was about ankle deep and saw some walk around spots. Cool easy peasy, NOPE! Every plant that touched me felt like ants biting me. After the 4th time of trying to avoid water and getting attacked by Ant-Plants. I braved the ankle deep water. Which answered my question about my Solomon’s water resiliency. So now I’m waking about 2 miles through ankle deep water ninja jumping over trees, deeper water, and Ant-Plants. My easy walk day turned into me arriving at my truck looking like I was the bad guy in Rambo’s last drop?, final blood?, no more blood? Idk I need whiskey now.

A good trail just to spend some time outdoors! I did notice that there wasn’t a trash can anywhere to dispose of dog poop at the trail heads.

Nice enough trail. Creek is pretty. If heights are not your thing maybe not the best choice.

Super fun for beginners. Bike entrance is right by First Creek Middle School for those who had difficulty finding the location like we did.

Beautiful scenic trail. I would like to recommend this trail to anyone with dogs and is a moderate hiker. The many viewing vistas have exceptional areas to stop and it is lightly trafficked. The sound of the river is peaceful throughout.

A nice longer hike for a beginner, not too much elevation- narrow trail but dog friendly! The creek and its sounds are nice to walk along

We parked near apartments on the road. The entrance of the trail was littered with broken glass and abandoned clothes. Lots of mountain bikes in the bike trails which was really cool to watch. The trail down to the water was nice except for the old tires and litter. There were bits of metal in the sides of the dirt switchbacks too. Blue graffiti is spray painted on many trees as well. I'm not sure what all the paved roads are for.....
