HikingGreat!

nice and easy trail. good option for the elderly or beginners. at this time of the year, the flowers are a bit tired and on their way out but there was still some purple color left. the views are very nice. the drive to the parking lot is windy and long. arrive early. by the time we left around noon, there was a huge backup of cars waiting for parking...but it was labor day weekend so that probably added to the crowd.

I did this trail this morning. Short, but great trail. I was in awe of all the wildflowers and the view of Mt. Rainier. Doable for people that are not even used to hiking. Plenty of parking this morning,

Short but pretty trail! Gives you great views of Rainier and the North Cascades. On a clear day you can see super far! There are also lots of beautiful wildflowers.

WOWZERZ!!! Incredible views of Rainier and the whole Cascade range including Baker for very little effort. The 1.5 miles felt less than that because of the ease and the views.

Wonderful views and easy hike for those with minimal experience. Get here early! I showed up at 7:30am and left around 9 and the parking lot was getting pretty active for a weekday.

My wife and I hiked this trail on the early afternoon of Sunday, July 26th. It's a short loop that starts close to the parking lot at Sunrise and has access to a few other trails. There was some snow in the upper parts, but it wasn't overwhelming. I'd say about 60% of people were wearing masks, which was a constant uncomfortable reminder. My wife and I wore our masks and enjoyed this short trail with a bit of elevation and some fantastic mountain views. We'll try the longer trek to Frozen Lake next time.

Large parts of this trail are still covered with snow making it very dangerous. Many people were turning around because it was too slippery. Definitely not for children or elderly.
