Sunrise Mine Trail is a 5 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Darrington, Washington that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking and bird watching and is best used from June until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Directions from Verlot: Travel east on the Mt. Loop Hwy. 17.1 miles. Turn right on the Sunrise Mine Road #4065 and continue 2.2 miles to the trailhead at the end.

Wow, this was an incredibly beautiful hike. Not for the faint of heart. It’s challenging, but the pay off is something else! Would do it again for sure

This trail is more or less a duplicate of the one called 'Vesper Peak'. Continue past Headlee pass to scramble Vesper and/or Sperry peaks.

This Trail is extremely challenging and not family friendly, but if you want a challenge and amazing views the entire hike, DO IT!!
