This entire trail was a gravel logging road. Not overly difficult but did get monotonous over 10+ miles. Never found the pond. There are some arrows where the trail forks but those seem to be geared toward loggers rather than hikers. The trail lives up to its name.

Great hike! Not tons to see but the lake is unique. Year old bear scat on the road in several places but nothing fresh (yet).

The place is practically crawling with Covid-19, Also wild rabid dogs run amuck here.

Loved this trail! Originally planned on the Lime Kiln Trail but it was so packed we came here. 1 of 2 cars so we had the whole trail to ourselves. The hills were rough, but there’s 2 outlooks that are simply fantastic! Great view of the valley! Definitely a good trail but take snacks and hangout by the lake!

I hiked a little over a mile into it. It is all uphill for the 1st mile but not too steep. This is basically a wide logging road. There’s a bit of trail that goes off into the woods. I will come back and do the full hike to the lake when I have more time. Overall a good place to go for a walk and not be too far away from town.

Discovery pass for parking area. This is a series of logging roads, not really a hiking trail. Good place to take the dog for a walk. Check your map as there are a bunch of roads that are not on the all trails app.
