After crossing the bridge take the first left and the trail can be found behind the Diablo Volunteer Fire Dept. Building. The trail is washed out after a half a mile or so. But you can work your way around the washout to pick up the trail again. After that point the trail follows the river into the canyon a few hundred feet up. You'll cross three creeks and hike in about two to three miles then come to a sign reading "End of maintained trail". This trail doesn't see much usage and is a little overgrown at points. Moss completely covers the ground cover and trees making for a majestic hike. Solitude, moss and big trees can be found on the Stetattle.
