Easy trail through the woods and along the river. Very muddy when it is raining.

Wasn’t going to hike this trail but got talked into by the Ranger. Heard some elk bugling and then saw them. Also saw a lot of slugs. Made it worth it.

Best part of the trail was along the river. Short and lots of ferns.

We did this at the same time as the Hall of Mosses. Together, they're about 2 miles. Good for kids as well.

A great trail that takes you through a short section of the Hoh Rainforest. You get close enough to the Hoh River that you can pop off trail real quick and take a look at the beauty of the glacial runoff from Mt Olympus. There is a ton of wildlife along the trail and I can’t count how many banana slugs I saw.

Some muddy parts to the trail. Also looked like some trees had blown down recently and cleared. Pretty quick hike with cool information about the forest.

I really think that the Spruce Nature trail is about at the same level as the Hall of Mosses! It's unique, and offers a nice view of the House River. I ran three loops, and it was super relaxing! However, when we went it was rainy, so if there is rain be prepared to get wet!

This was a nice, scenic Trail. It is within the Olympic national Park so you will need to pay to get in (Unless you’re military then you can get in for free). I asked park ranger if there is one place she could go in the park if she only had an hour and she told me this on, the Spruce Trail. Great recommendation and they’re very great trail. I did it with my son and he loved it as well. They said how clean the water was after being filtered so much through the land, so me and my boy drank from the stream. It was the first time he’s ever done it so he was excited.

While you’re visiting the area, this is a nice easy trail to add on. It goes past the Hoh River which was a pleasant spot to stop and watch the water and let the kid splash in the water and throw some rocks. If you’ve seen the Hoh Trail, this doesn’t add a ton to the experience. But it was a nice additional trail.

Short little walk in a pretty forest. Easy to do. Everyone should walk it

Don't let the first half of the trail fool you. Once you get to the river it really opens up and gets beautiful. The tree setting on the Hall of Moss Trail is better but the river area is beautiful and open.

Relaxing walk. Well maintained trails. Unfortunately, I did the Hoh rain forest walk first, the view wasn’t that impressive after doing the Hoh.

We saw an elk! Nice, easy stroll to the river. The interpretive signs were informative and interesting to read. The drive to the trail is glorious.

Not as nice as Hall of Moss. But it does take you close to the river.

Not as impressive as the Hall of Mosses trail but still a nice walk. A nice view up the river from one or two points too.

Nice loop thru the forest. Some big old growth trees and skirts the river for a little. I like the Hall of Moss trail at the visitor center slightly better but if you go there do them both !

Very easy, can be done in an hour even with taking your time. Some gorgeous views of the river and of course the forest.

Loved the opportunity to dip our hot, tired feet in the river about halfway around! Very cool hike!

Beautiful trail and view. Keep your eyes focused around you- someone his little toy figures above eye level along the forest. The very small red, yellow and blue figures are so tiny at first I had no idea what I was looking at. It made the trail more fun for the little ones as it gave them a little game to play along the trail.

Totally delightful, easy trail with amazingly lush vegetation.

A nice easy trail , lot of awesome tree to check out !

Similar ecologic features as Hall of Mosses with bonus of briefly hiking near the river. Less crowded than HoM.

Easy nature trail. Had to climb over/under a big tree downed on the trail so it was also very interactive!
