This was one of my first hike with family and small children. It was pretty easy hike. Toddler was able to run and play most of the way. Nice landing area to sit and watch the waterfall.
Going to the hot springs is something that everyone should do at least once in their lives. Soaking in a natural hot tub is a unique opportunity that not everyone has. However, the area has become very popular in the last 20 years. At this time, you have to pay a fee to take the trail. This helps to cut down on foot traffic as well as the amount of trash left behind.
There is a $20 fee to access the trail if you aren't staying at Sol Duc Resort. with so many other non-fee hiking opportunities throughout the National Park, we opted to skip this one.
