Nice flat and short hike through old growth forest to beautiful three prong waterfall that captures rainbows in the spray. Passes over a few spring fed and snow runoff creeks along the way. Sol Duc Falls rages under a wooden bridge and the hike has a wooden platform at the end of the trail - nice place to sit and enjoy the falls!

Beautiful, the views and falls were worth the drive from Lake Stevens, Wa. The falls do not disappoint. Great for all skill levels, well maintained, restrooms at trailhead, big parking lot.

Beautiful falls! We started at the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort which makes it longer, of course, but also a bit challenging in about 3 spots because of all the huge blow downs of trees. The trail goes missing until you're able to overcome the hurdles of these. I've done this hike years ago and the trail was very easy to follow from the hot springs then. We had a 7 and 5 year old who were able to conquer the hurdles and enjoy the falls with us.
If you start where All Trails starts you, very easy hike and very kid friendly!
Oh, today (May 20,2017) there were multiple bear sitings and lots of dear on the trail. We didn't see the bear but the deer were out.

Great little trail. Very touristy, but the waterfall is worth pushing between people in crocs. Bring rain gear, the mist will get you.

While it is a pretty hike and you get beautiful photos of the waterfalls, it was just an out and back hike. It was by no means a "moderate" trail; a very easy trail so long as you don't have mobility problems (steps, roots, and rocks might make it more moderate). I liked the trail, but it was just like any generic forest trail and didn't see any wildlife except for the squirrels and birds.

Beautiful waterfall and bridge. Sun popped out just as we reached the falls which gave the view an ethereal quality as it shown through the mist (and is the real reason this earned a 5-star rating)!
