Extremely difficult physically and very hard to follow at times as the trail is unmaintained. Downed trees up to 10 ft in diameter litter the initial ascent from the south and the trail is constantly gaining and loosing elevation along the ridge. However, the views are spectacular and McGravy lakes are beautiful panes of glass nestled high in the mountains. If you are confident in your navigation skills and are up for an adventure, I would recommend. However, this is not for the faint of heart.
