It started fun but like others have suggested skip the residential area. otherwise it's a great afternoon or early morning walk.

Creek trail was great. Recommend you skip this loop which winds through the neighborhood and stick to the out and back trail

I would not do this trail again. It wasnt much of a loop. We walked a lot through neighborhoods and different trails that ran through neighborhoods. The "loop" is also washed away! We followed the map and did end up doing a "loop" but the very end of it turned into us sliding down a hill because the trail was so steep. We think it was washed away and the app isnt updated. The "Hike" went from a walk in a neighborhood to a pretty view to a mountain slide. I wouldnt do it again.

Great Easy trail for people wanting to get out of the house. 1.5 improved trail to the water. Very aesthetic. Nice downward grade there decent for the “training” runner going back up. At the 1.5 marker hang a left and follow the trail for another 4 miles or so through the Urban area. The first mile of this has picturesque views of the water and evergreens over the trail.

This review is for the LOOP. First part of hike to the water is ok. Good for family's, easy hike...the second part started off with some promise, a nice incline, then cut through private property (golf course), go through the fence and you're on your way. Not much to see but a few spots to view the water. Rest of the hike is paved and through a neighborhood. Used the AllTrail app so easy to navigate. Boring. Wouldn't do again.

The first part of the hike was great all the way to the water. The second part was not marked properly and we got off trail a couple of times. The second part of the hike goes through DuPont neighbored and not very scenic.

Mostly paved, maybe 1/4 mile of what I consider a trail.

Running

More of an easy trail, mostly paved and running in neighborhoods. This should be marked as easy, disappointing for a moderate Trail. Wouldn’t recommend it for a moderate run. If you want an easy run or walk this would be perfect.

Hiking

my group hiked a very large loop. the forested part if hike is beautiful with views if Puget sound. when you get to residential area we walked all the way down McNeil st to left on center drive so we added about 11/2 miles to our journey. now I know you turn left near that Bob's lane rd and that continues as the correct 4.9 loop.

Running

Fairly scenic, nice views of the sound. Two issues though, the first is that it has a 0-200 ft. change in elevation over a distance of .1 miles, fairly steep, with a few hairpin turns, recommend running/walking up this thing as opposed to down. The incline also has soft dirt which could easily be slipped on if moving too fast and if you tumble, you’re going all the way down the hard way! The second issue is that about 3 miles into this run, you come across a chain link fence with a chained and locked gate that blocks off everything, including your continuation on your run. I had to trudge through blackberry brambles just to get to the other side, try and find a way to get around this without having to go bush whacking.

Great short hike for a family with beautiful scenery and beach at the end- plus getting to explore an abandoned railroad tunnel. Be careful of the poison oak in some spots.

HikingPrivate propertyRocky

Got lost a ton, but found our way. Be aware that at one point after the swirly hill you need to head into the fence not straight, straight is private property. Lots of rocks wear appropriate shoes. Great trail, was extremely sore after though, might be because we took the wrong way and added an extra mile and a half.
