Good hike! Last half of going down was narrower steep switch backs. Take care on that part if you have little ones with you.
30 minutes down and 35 minutes back up. The trail to the beach is currently closed due to excessive mud from recent rains.
Meh... beach trail closed. Pretty walk through the woods. Maybe when beach trail opens I’ll come back.
I'm a very out of shape new hiker, so please take this info in that state of mind. We took Saw Mill and Margaret, then the access road back. Lots of rocks and roots for trip hazards (for us clumsy peeps), and pretty steep on the way down. There's a CLEAN porta potty at the bottom (yay)! Steep-ish road access on the way back (stopped at least 4 times to catch my breath). VERY pretty, when I could look up! Seasoned hikers will LOVE IT! Newbie beware. I'd rate it around a 5-6. Trails well kept but people still brought their pets.
Small walkway bridge over Creek had large sign saying trail is closed and cannot cross. see pics. this means you can't get to sawmill or beach. whole trail should probably be marked as closed since can't get to any of highlights including shoreline. looks like would be very nice otherwise. plenty of people just going around the sign so it's up to you. 8/10/20
It was a pretty trail. Not hard but pretty much up hill on the way back. Passed a handful of people so not super busy on Sunday Mid Morning. Definitely worth checking out.
