Paddle sportsGreat!

Went on the St. George to Painted trails little Spokane river paddle with a buddy and came across A family of moose. Amazingly peaceful float that average 90-120 min depending on how you paddle.

One of my favorite trails in Spokane to date. Many parts of the trail are overgrown, so make sure to check yourself for ticks. Trail can be steep at times; if you are not accustomed to it, you may find this trail challenging.

Went off course and got stopped by some unhappy property owners. So of the million private property signs I guess obey. REMEMBER we live on stolen land!

Beautiful hike! Lots of varied terrain and vegetation. Nice views. Steep up and down at the beginning, but well maintained.

This trail in a hidden treasure right in Spokane, WA. We started by St. George's School. The first portion has a pretty steep grade, it then follows a nice trail through a beautiful area with new green foliage and wildflowers. it follows along the ridge to where there is a small break in the trees with a bench to sit on and enjoy the vista. this would be a nice turn around if one wanted a shorter hike. However, we wanted to see where the end was before turning around. the trail led to a fairly steep decline and then to a dryer wooded area. we stayed on trail 53. It continued on through a wet mossy area covered in green foliage. There was a pond taken over by Cattails and inhabited by Redwinged Blackbirds. The trail then drops down into the Littke Spokane River wetland area. The trail finally led us to the bridge on Rutter Parkway right by the Indian Painted Rock Trailhead! We walked under the bridge and enjoyed the beauty of the river. We then turned around and enjoyed our return journey.

Beautiful hike! Steep in the beginning. Watch out for the crazy Russian man. He told my friend and I that we were on his cameras and trespassing although we were on the trail. He said he was recording us which made us think he has trail cams up on State land. Kinda creepy!

Started on the St. George's side. I took kids from 3-19 and they all did great on this hike. Maybe a little long for the little kids, but it was great. The hike straight up the mountain was great at the beginning, but a little rougher heading back down after your legs are tired a bit. Kids found frogs when we were on the flatter area by some of the water.

Beautiful and challenging hike! No mosquitos and not overgrown at all. It was wonderful until our car got broken into in the parking lot and came back to a broken in car and had to deal with credit card companies, etc! It was very relaxing hike until we got back to the parking lot but thank goodness I had a grounding from Nature before all this took place. Beware of parking your car there!

Steep up and back. Forested all around. Leads to Little Spokane. If you cross road you can join other trails.

Great hike, really gets the heart pumping. not much to look at view wise however which was a little disappointing. The first 1/4 of a mile is totally uphill and steep!

Good local hike and barely any traffic which was nice! However because I’m guessing this trail isn’t used much, there are several places on the trail that are pretty grown over. The climb at the beginning and the mid climb on the way back are no joke!

First to Review

Not a bad hike. A little difficult at first because it is a straight incline. After that it is mostly down hill/flat. Another tough climb about halfway through on your way back, you will notice when you go down it.
