Round Lake Loop via Lake to Lake Trail is a 1.4 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Camas, Washington that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Great way to get into nature while still close to home! Instead of taking the more paved path the whole way around I went off about 1/3 of the way onto the more rocky path that goes around the top section of the lake before continuing to meet back up with the trail. Recommend that if you can handle a little more roots and narrow areas. My dog and I had a fantastic time running on the paved areas and while the begging of the trail had a couple people the other side of the lake was completely empty.
Very consistant flow of people throughout the day. Never busy but usually someone nearby. Loved the lake and streams and combination of rocky and smooth terrain. This was much more of a forest than I expected, actually felt like hiking in the Gorge to my surprise...Mostly flat with a few small inclines but nothing major other than a few slippery slopes. Personally this is a teue gem for being in the middle of the city and neighborhoods, and very well maintained...Grabbed a bunch of Geocaches as well
Beautiful hike but HEAVILY TRAFFICKED which is not my cup of tea! However, first beautiful Saturday in a while! Weekday hike for sure!
Mostly great trail! There were some people-y parts. I'm not a fan of people-y trails, so if that isn't your thing, this isn't your trail. You have to walk along a road for part of it. Wasn't expecting that. Good hike for kids though as there are lots of places to stop including a park.
As long as it’s not muddy this is a great loop. Some elevation but not too bad
So good! Lots of li'l trails to explore once you find the main trail.
Includes a great park with picnic tables to enjoy the view, plenty of people, tough to get parking. Beautiful, but it's a shame that Round Lake and Lacamas Lake had recent elevated toxin levels (Clark County Public Health). The water looks a bit dirty, I wouldn't want to touch it and it takes away from the natural experience. I can imagine it will look better once the toxic levels go down.
