Root Lake Trail is a 1 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Goose Prairie, Washington that features a lake and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from July until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Very steep, loose rocks and all around dangerous to hike these days. The trail used to be safer years ago. Beautiful lake with some small rainbows.
