Nice hike, fairly easy, the trail is a combo between walking along the river and a paved road. You have to walk on the road and then it turns into centennial trail which is paved. At least half of the trail is in paved road.

Parking is plentiful.

Very easy loop. Great for kids, lots of freedom for them to run. Busy yet still private. Love the different landscapes throughout loop.

Great little trail.

Nice hike with the kids and dogs. Trails are not marked very well and there are several spots that you could get on the wrong trail.

Great hike, with fabulous views. Easy to get to and thus pretty popular.

Nice trail system in a beautiful state park. I tried to find the southern route along the river, as suggested, but never found it. still a good morning hike. By noon it was too hot and some parts of the trail have no shade, so go early if you go in the summertime

The exploration of the Centennial Trail above, looping down to the southern section of Riverside Park made an awesome day. No way to be unhappy on this trail. The river is beautiful down there. I think I like the southern area better than Bowl & Pitcher, which seems to get more attention - perhaps because of the huge rock formations and cool bridge. Note, to experience what I mean by awesome, you have to go considerably farther south than the recommended route. Look at my recording for reference. It's a longer hike, but well worth it. Bring stuff to swim in or at least for getting your feet wet.

Great trail for taking the whole family on. It is very shaded which made it great for a hot summer day. Absolutely beautiful area. The only down side was the trail was not always clearly marked and without my phone I would not have known which way to go.

Pros: best park in the county. Spectacular views when the river is high and the sun is out. Well marked.

Cons: crowded with families, kids and non-athletes. Parking was expensive compared to area trails. Cliffs were dangerous.

Views were beautiful. It was more fun if you shoot off to the side trails that are scattered off the main trail. Defiantly an easy hike; not too exciting if you're looking for something challenging.

First hike in Spokane and using this app. Went in January with a lot of snow, but Trail was still accessible. Beautiful views. Easy enough for our kids. Suspension bridge is cool!

Riverside State Park is one of my Favorite places to go for a day hike/walk. They are pet friendly, the views are great and the terrain is easy to navigate if you are just starting or have little ones. Camping is great there as well! Don't forget to get your Discover Pass and go check this Park out!
