Easy trail with beautiful views of the lake. Unfortunately, an off leash German Shepard charged at us as soon as he saw my chihuahua. Traumatic for my kid but thankfully there were other people close by that helped control the dog when he got close to us. Please keep your pets on leash, especially if they are reactive to other dogs.

Super fast hike if you’re on a time crunch or you want something a bit more leisurely. Absolutely stunning views of the lake! I was in awe of how beautiful it was.

Visited Rattlesnake Lake when I was visiting Seattle many years ago. Enjoyed jumping in the refreshing water. Walked some of the trails.

Beautiful! BUT IT’S GETTING OVERCROWDED and no one is following the 6ft rule with current COVID19 recommendations. Stupid.

The lake is super low in the fall, which is a lot of fun to walk around and poke your head in old stumps and climb them. Pros: easy, flat (you can easily bike with street/little kid bikes) good parking as the trail head is further south than the trail head for Rattlesnake Ledge/ Mountain which is packed!!! Really cool informative learning center Cons: super short , even with little ones

This was the first trail I took my family to after moving to Seattle. It was easy enough for my (very) pregnant wife and I to push our toddler in the stroller on the paved path. It ends at a scenic rocky beach. The view at the end of the short walk was perfect. Tip for families looking for the easiest path. Park at the center and go to the north side for the paved trailhead. If you go down the south side, it’ll take you down a gravel path until it merges into the paved path. Pushing an umbrella stroller down that wasn’t the most comfortable part of the walk.

simple flat trail for a nice post-hike walk to cooldown or you could even take a dip on the lake, beware the water is COLD(20th july)

Rattlesnake Lake Trail is not to be confused with Rattlesnake Ledge. The trail is a paved path along the lake, not much of a hike but more of a leisurely walk. Rattlesnake Ledge is a hike and leads you up to a... ledge. Didn’t venture all the way up today because it was packed (Sunday afternoon) but plan to come back to check it out.

Visited April 27th 2019 Nice trail - beautiful view from the top (although slightly scary closer to the ledge!) Not particularly noteworthy on the way up/down. Went on a Saturday and very busy. Nice area down by the water as well, would be great for picnics.

This is a beautiful lake that gets very busy on the weekends. The trail itself is paved and not particularly noteworthy. It's a nice walk, but ultimately it serves as a trail that provides access to the lake. Note that this trail is very dog-friendly, as well-behaved dogs who are under voice control are NOT required to be leashed.

I went there on 7/4. The trail is easy but it is windy on the top. There’s not much space to rest either. We ended up with staying there just a few mins. The view was wonderful.
