Did this trail after hiking Maple Pass. Paved the whole way, which is nice, since I walked it in sandals. We hiked a little further along the lake, so we could get a better access point for swimming. Water wasn't too bad!

I had done the Maple Pass Loop the other day, but I didn't go to Rainy Lake at the time, so decided to check it out. I went on a Saturday afternoon, and the line of cars parked along the Highway was quite long. Beware of this, particularly for those planning on doing the Maple Pass. Rainy Lake is nice, clear waters, and the path is paved to get there. This would be perfect for families with little children looking to explore a nice lake.

Most people hike other trails here so parking is difficult, but this is a short paved trail with very few users, so expect a nice quiet stroll to a small Lakeview. Unfortunately, too close to highway and you hear it all the time.

Wasn’t expecting the trail to be paved the whole way through. Makes it easy for all skill levels and a great payoff at the end.

Easy trail to an incredible payoff. The lake is stunning. Watch out for bears, as I can within 15 feet of a large adult male black bear on the return trip.

HikingGreat!

Went 9am on a Saturday. Parking lot was almost full however the trail itself was not that busy. When we got to the end of the trail we had a few minutes to sit alone before another group came and went. Most people did wear a mask. Easy hike with an amazing end!
